How you can volunteer

Whether you're interested in coordinating or managing local volunteers or collections, office admin, PR and communication or events there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved with the fundraising team.

If you are interested in volunteering at our Head Office in Leeds, please contact Kate Connor at, or call 0113 258 5934.

Zsofia Huber, office volunteer tells us how she helps BCRT's Head Office run smoothly

I've been working as a volunteer for BCRT since June 2010, half a day every week. I found them through–their advertisement caught my eye because of its friendly and casual tone.

I like coming to BCRT every week not only because it feels good to be able to help this cause but also because of the great and friendly staff working here. Their enthusiasm and energy is really catchy.

My role is basically an administrative one, it's quite varied and involves making calls, writing emails, handling database entries, etc. whatever is needed at the time.

It is to support the staff and let them focus on more relevant tasks. It's also been useful for me to gain experience in a positive and encouraging environment and to meet lovely people–in good company even envelope stuffing can be real fun.

I would recommend volunteering for BCRT to everyone who would like to get some experience in fundraising or administration and have fun while doing so.
