After being one of the first charities to be involved in the inaugural Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon Leeds, we are delighted to have been named as Gold Charity Partner for the 2017 event.
The Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon Leeds will return to the city for a second time on 10-11 June 2017, representing the pinnacle of triathlon competition in the UK and providing more than 5,000 recreational triathletes with the unique opportunity to compete on much of the same course as the world’s best. We'll be joining Bloodwise, the UK's specialist blood cancer charity, as the key charity partners for the event.
Our fantastic #TriTeamBones joined Yorkshire heroes the Brownlee brothers this summer, cheered on by more than 80,000 spectators making up a huge and passionate Leeds crowd.
"The team support prior to the race was fantastic and the support on the route was outstanding! I honestly can't thank the support squad for being so fantastic!"
Laura, part of the 2016 #TriTeamBones
2017's Columbia Threadneedle World Triathlon Leeds will see both the amateurs and elite – including many of Team GB's Rio Olympians, once again head back to Leeds for what is set to be an unforgettable event on the triathlon calendar. The event will be organised exclusively by British Triathlon, in partnership with Leeds City Council, UK Sport and the ITU. The new team working on the event in 2017 has extensive experience of delivering a world-class standard of triathlon including Tri Liverpool and the ITU World Triathlon Series event in Hyde Park.
