Bake for a Breakthrough

Right now, 40% of people diagnosed with primary bone cancer will not live beyond five years. For many, the reason is heartbreakingly simple - it’s found too late.

Together, this Bone Cancer Awareness Week, you can help change that story.

From 6th – 12th October (or any date that suits you), host a bake sale at your school, work, or in your community! Bake for a Breakthrough and help us raise £20,000 for research that gives every patient not just hope, but more time with their loved ones.

Every cake sold and pound raised will fund vital research to speed up diagnosis, improve treatments, and give every patient the chance of a future.

How you will make a difference

Isobel (pictured below) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in June 2022. Just weeks later, her right arm was amputated. Tragically, in December 2022 — less than six months after her diagnosis — Isobel passed away.

This Bone Cancer Awareness Week, please Bake for a Breakthrough to give others like Isobel more time with the people they love.

£15 could fund a voice of comfort, a one-hour call with a support officer providing reassurance in difficult times.

£40 could fuel the fight by supporting an hour of ground breaking research, bringing us closer to a cure.

£200 – Early diagnosis saves lives, this donation could help distribute 40 information packs to healthcare professionals, ensuring faster recognition of symptoms.
