Cycling from London to Paris is one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Passing through picturesque Kent countryside, you will cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. With long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs, the sight of the Eiffel Tower, your finishing point, will evoke a real sense of achievement. After your pedal to Paris, your last day allows you to explore the sights and soak up the romantic atmosphere of this majestic city!

FAQ's
How fit do I need to be?
The cycle is labelled as challenging, a good level of fitness is definitely required. Anyone who is fairly active should be able to complete the challenge with training over a period of three months leading up to the cycle. You will have access to a thorough training guide once you have registered.
What will the terrain be like?
We ride mainly on small country roads, over rolling terrain. The first day is more strenuous with some short, sharp climbs. You should make sure you are fit enough to manage the distances, and have experience on rolling hills and descents, but this works as a great entry-level challenge for many. Road bikes are the most suitable on this trip.
What if I have a health condition or disability?
Whilst the trip leaders will always try their best for you, by the nature of adventure, not all of the challenges are accessible, and they are not an operator specifically offering adapted adventures. If you would like to have a confidential chat with the team about anything before booking, please give Discover Adventure a call or an email; +44 01722 684024 or [email protected]
What is the accommodation like?
Hotels or lodges of a 2-3* standard or equivalent. Standards may vary between the hotels but they are generally comfortable and convenient for your route. Hotels are often on the outskirts of towns to minimise unnecessary extra mileage and avoid traffic.
What is the fundraising target?
The costs for this trip vary between options, more details are above.
What if I can't reach the fundraising target?
You will have a dedicated fundraising contact and incredible support from our team. The fundraising target is broken down into manageable targets. However, if your circumstances change and you can't reach your first fundraising target, we will have to cancel your place.
What happens if I need to cancel?
If you are no longer able to attend the cycle, please let our team know as soon as possible on [email protected]. Due to the nature of events, we are not able to offer refunds on registration fees or sponsorship. However we could look at deferring your place to the following year. We recommend everyone purchases travel insurance as soon as they book, which will cover you for any losses incurred, should you need to pull out.
If you have any further questions please get in touch on [email protected].
