Your business can join forces with a young and growing charity which is already recognised internationally as a pioneer in research. We’re dedicated to fighting Primary Bone Cancer – saving lives and improving outcomes for patients through research, information, awareness and support.

Our size and heritage means you’ll be working with a small, passionate and committed team, many of whom have personal connections with this rare but brutal disease. Together we’ll tailor a #TeamBones partnership which engages your teams and customers and aligns to your values, and which helps us achieve our vision of a world where Primary Bone Cancer is cured.

Whether you’re interested in fundraising, sponsorship, raising awareness, skills based volunteering or nurturing the career of a young researcher, we’d love to hear from you.

Don't just take our word for it...

At Victoria Leeds we’re proud to be partnered with such an amazing charity. The team at the Bone Cancer Research Trust are absolutely fantastic and work tirelessly to raise awareness for a truly worthwhile cause. It’s been a great collaboration with the organisation so far. This year our involvement has included completion of the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge by our management staff in July 2018. Later in August the charity arranged a musical performance within Victoria Gate shopping centre, which saw a great turnout and also added to the overall customer experience. We look forward to our future work with the charity and hope our relationship continues to thrive long into the future

When our customers chose BCRT as our charity partner, we knew this was a charity that would really capture the hearts and minds of our colleagues

Atrium has a strong culture of supporting its staff in both individual and group volunteering and fundraising initiatives. We believe that our success as a business is based on the need to make a positive investment in our staff, our community and the environment. In 2016 we established our Charity of the Year which is where our corporate partnership with BCRT began.
So as to direct our fundraising to meaningful causes we asked our colleagues to nominate charities to which funds raised during events in 2016-17 would be sent. BCRT were chosen as one of our cancer charity partners to address the three main areas of concern; research, treatment and support.
Our colleague based her nomination for BCRT on a personal connection with Alex Lewis, who, diagnosed at 17 with osteosarcoma, died in 2011. Despite intensive treatment and this life changing diagnosis, Alex was an inspiration to many by maintaining an incredibly positive outlook, almost always with a smile on his face and living life to the full. Assisted by Alex’s dedicated parents, BCRT have since made significant headway in increasing research and information, however support from Atrium both to raise awareness and contribute financially would make a huge difference in helping to advance the cause further.
BCRT was attractive to us as it was a small charity and because it focussed on primary bone cancer research which is often overlooked or underfunded by the larger mainstream cancer charities. As an SME ourselves it felt like a good fit and with regular interaction with the BCRT team and their engaging yet meaningful presentations and communications and infectious enthusiasm for their work it was an easy choice for us to support them.
In 2017 we took part in one of the BCRT fundraising events whereby 15 of our colleagues participated in the London to Brighton 54 mile bike ride, one of which was completed on a “Boris” bike! It was a great event for our team and we went on to raise over £10,000 for BCRT, which far exceeded our original fundraising target. It was a fantastic day that will live long in the memories of all involved.
BCRT have really grown over the last couple of years and are pioneers in their initiatives to increase awareness and understanding and support ongoing research.
It has been a pleasure working with Mat, Rachel and the BCRT team.
