Q. How do I keep track of and share my progress?
You can use the manual tracker you'll receive with your technical tee. Write down how much you row each day, and remember to share your progress with your friends, on your social media, Facebook Fundraiser page or JustGiving fundraiser and in our Facebook group. You can even join our strava group to track your distance.
Unsure on how best to share updates? Take a look at our top tips below:
- Videos: Short videos posted regularly with updates are a good a way to update supporters.
- Photos: Simple photos of you rowing with an update are often all it takes to engage supporters. Try a selfie, flat lay of your kit ready to go for the day and make sure to post photos of up to date trackers too.
- Tik Tok: Doing your challenge in your T-shirt or making a “day in the life of” video – share and tag us!
- Boomerangs: Short, simple and, more often than not, pretty hilarious! Boomerangs are a fun way to share progress.
Q. What if I don't complete the challenge?
The only thing that matters is that you challenge yourself. Do as much as you can. Any distance you row helps and your friends and family will see that. We just ask that you try your best.
Q. Where can I row?
Anywhere! You can complete your challenge at a location that suits you - whether that's indoors at your local gym, on your own rowing machine or outside at your local rowing club, or in open water. If you choose to take on the challenge in open water, please make sure you are properly equipped, know the location and check conditions before going in. Please familiarise yourself with the Health and Safety document for this challenge. By taking part in this challenge you accept full responsibility for your personal safety and you agree you have a basic level of fitness required to complete the challenge safely.
