Our Special Funds all have one thing in common - they are dedicated to raising funds and awareness to change the outcomes for those affected by primary bone cancer both now and in the future.
Watch our short video to find out why three of our funds chose to set up a Special Fund.
What is a Special Fund?
By setting up a Special Fund you create a dedicated fund in your name or the name of your loved one. It is a positive way for family, friends and the wider community to join together to do something that really matters to them. By uniting we form a stronger community and combine our efforts towards finding a cure for primary bone cancer.
Our Special Funds are usually set up in memory of a loved one or are inspired by a person living with primary bone cancer.
By setting up Jude’s Special Fund, we’re hoping to make treatments kinder, more effective, and to have more sufferers from bone cancer still here to tell their tale.

100% of the funds raised by Special Funds will be spent on furthering our charitable objectives of funding life saving research, raising vital awareness, providing information and offering support to those that need it.
What do Special Funds do?
Those running Special Funds have complete control over their fundraising, you can choose how you wish to raise funds and when. This could be anything from bake sales and bucket collections, to skydives and marathons or organising events such as golf days, cinema nights or music festivals!
Nothing is too big or too small, as every penny really does count in our fight against primary bone cancer. Our funds are also brilliant awareness champions, spreading the word about primary bone cancer in their local communities; helping to raise the profile and understanding of this rare disease
What help do you receive?
Kate, Siobhan and Louise, our Special Funds team, are on hand to support you every step of the way. We look after all your admin tasks such as the legal stuff, thanking supporters and Gift Aid so that you can concentrate solely on raising much needed funds and awareness.
We can provide you with a page on our website, your own Special Fund logo and all the materials you need to fundraise; including personalised banners, collection tins & buckets, wristbands, leaflets and even balloons to promote your fund!
