Event Info:

Q. What is the challenge?

To walk 62 miles throughout May. Whether you walk, jog, or hike, every step helps raise vital funds and awareness for those affected by primary bone cancer. You can personalise this challenge to you, whether that's 2 miles a day or longer walks at the weekend, its your challenge to make your own.

Q. When is the event?

Q. How do I sign up?

You can register here, we can't wait to see you take part!

No, this is your challenge. The challenge is to complete 62 miles during May but if you need to lower the goal, you can absolutely do that.

Q. Can I participate with friends or family?

Yes, we would love to see you taking on the challenge with your family or friends.

Once you have created your fundraiser from the link within the Facebook Group, this will be sent out automatically. Please allow 10 working days for this to arrive.

Q. How do I get the water bottle?

Once you raised £100, we will send you an email with a link to claim it! Fill in the quick form and we’ll send it out as soon as possible.

Q. How do I get a medal?

We will send you a Walk 62 Miles in May medal after the challenge ends if you have raised £200 or more.

Q. Can I purchase a medal?

Unfortunately, we do not put medals up for sale, we award the medals to those who managed to hit the fundraising target in recognition of the amazing difference they have made to bone cancer patients and their families. So, we don’t feel it would be fair to offer the medals for sale. We hope you understand.

If you wish to donate and take your fundraising over the £200 mark, by all means we will happily send you a medal.

Q. How do I track my distance?

You can use whichever app you like to record your distance. We’ll also be sending a paper tracker along with the T-shirt which can be used to keep track of how many miles you do. We ask that everyone posts regular updates onto their fundraiser so that friends and family can keep up with your progress over the month. JustGiving have a helpful guide on how to add updates to your page and share on your social media here.

Q. How do I prove that I have done the challenge?

We trust everyone taking part to complete the challenge, so you don't need to send us any proof (although we do love hearing from everyone so definitely feel free to get in touch!) You're welcome to share updates of your progress in the Facebook group and do share them on your fundraiser too so your friends and family can see how you're doing.

Q. I do a lot of walking anyway at work, can I use this towards my goal?

Absolutely!

Q. I’m doing a joint fundraiser will we both get medals?

If you have a team of 2 adults taking part, you will need to raise £400 for both of you to receive a medal.

If your team includes an adult and a child, you just need to raise £250 between you to get a medal each.

If your group is larger, we will need to discuss your fundraising target for everyone to get a medal. Please email [email protected] and we’d be happy to have a chat.
