We are delighted to share the news that Living With, and Beyond, Primary Bone Cancer – our research project into experiences of primary bone cancer – has been shortlisted for the 2016 Charity Times Awards.
Living With, and Beyond, Primary Bone Cancer is the first major study into the impact of primary bone cancer on patients and their close family/friends. Our study also examined the experiences and views of healthcare professionals and researchers working in the field of primary bone cancer.
The Charity Times Awards recognise leadership and professionalism in the charity sector, and we are delighted that our project and partnership with the research team from Alterline have made the shortlist.
Alterline and the Bone Cancer Research Trust conducted a large-scale national survey involving over 300 participants, and worked in detail with individuals to delve deeper into the needs, views, and experiences of our community.
The project culminated in the publication of our report Living With, and Beyond, Primary Bone Cancer, and a modern new brand that reflects the personality of our community and ensures we are prominent in our sector.
Nick Carley, Managing Director at Alterline, said: “We’re really proud of our work with the Bone Cancer Research Trust. It’s a great example of the power of using evidence to drive strategic change”.
The Charity Times 2016 award winners will be announced at the end of September.
