Over the last four years, an incredible community of riders, horse owners, families and supporters has come together to support people affected by primary bone cancer.

What began as a fundraising challenge has grown into something far greater: a community where people share their love of horses, celebrate achievements, support one another and help make a difference for families facing bone cancer.
Since Canter for a Cure launched, more than 3,500 participants have taken part and together raised an incredible £520,000 to support the Bone Cancer Research Trust's work in research, support, information and awareness.
Along the way, riders have braved all weathers, celebrated milestones with their horses, honoured loved ones and created memories that will last a lifetime. From first-time participants to familiar faces returning year after year, every rider has helped shape something truly special.
As the Bone Cancer Research Trust marks its 20th anniversary, we're celebrating the people, and horses, who have made Canter for a Cure what it is today.
Dr Zoe Davison, Director of Research at the Bone Cancer Research Trust, said:
The incredible commitment shown by this community over the last four years has helped us more than double our investment in research, allowing us to fund more groundbreaking projects and support researchers working towards kinder, more effective treatments. We are deeply grateful to every supporter who has made this progress possible. Together, you are helping to create hope for everyone affected by bone cancer.
Kate Connor, Director of Fundraising, added:
For four years, riders and their horses have inspired us with their generosity, kindness and determination, raising more than an incredible half a million pounds to help fund our life-saving work. As we mark 20 years of the Bone Cancer Research Trust, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has ridden, supported and fundraised. Your commitment has helped make a real difference to people affected by bone cancer, and we're so grateful to have you as part of our community. We can't wait to welcome both familiar and new faces when Canter for a Cure returns this September.
