Teenage and Young Adult Peer Support - July 2026

This July, for Sarcoma Awareness Month, we will be holding dedicated peer support sessions (similar to our 'Virtual Cuppas', as above) for those aged 16 to 25 who have been affected by primary bone cancer and/or tumours.

These sessions welcome young people with a variety of different experiences into a confidential and welcoming space to share and connect with each other. It will be facilitated sensitively by Teenage and Young Adults with lived experience, as well as Ruby and Grace in the Support & Information team. Whether you are in treatment, in remission, a long term survivor - or see yourself as someone between or beyond those labels, then this is a space for you.

  • When: Tuesday evenings (7th July, 14th July and 21st of July).
  • We’d ideally love for you to attend all three sessions to help build group familiarity over the weeks. However, we understand this isn’t always possible. You’re very welcome to attend whichever sessions you’re able to. Let us know which dates you can make by signing up to the dates below.
  • Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm (BST), with a short break included.
  • Where: Zoom link to be provided ahead of the peer support sessions
  • What to expect? Teenage and Young Adult speakers, time to chat and share experiences, introductions and gentle activities.
  • What will we be chatting about? Each session will be guided by what people feel comfortable talking about on the day, but to give you some expectations for the sessions here are some topics that we may cover:
  • First session, 7th July - education, work, friendships and relationships
  • Second session, 14th July - what does patient advocacy and voice mean for young people?
  • Third session, 21st July - an evening for gentle crafting/activity and reflection

Aged 18-25? Sign up yourself, but please do include next of kin details if you are in treatment.

Aged 16-17? Sign up with a parent or carer, with their details provided in the next of kin section. We will be in touch via your next of kin to organise next steps.
