From 5th to 11th October 2026, join us for Bone Cancer Awareness Week as we mark 20 years of Bone Cancer Research Trust and acknowledge the incredible community whose trust has helped shape everything we've achieved.

Trust in Us.

This year's theme, Trust in Us, is inspired by the people at the heart of our work: patients, families, researchers, healthcare professionals, staff, volunteers, supporters and fundraisers. For 20 years, this community has trusted us to stand alongside them, and that trust has helped drive awareness, shape research, provide support, develop information and bring people together.

No one understands primary bone cancer more than the people whose lives it affects. That's why, throughout the week, we're asking you to get involved as we hand this year's campaign over to you. It's your experiences that show what trust really looks like.

Whether you've accessed our support and information, supported others, contributed to research, fundraised or been part of one of our awareness campaigns, sharing your experience during Bone Cancer Awareness Week could help someone else find support when they need it most, give them the confidence to seek medical advice and advocate for themselves, inspire someone to contribute to research, or encourage them to take action.

Together, your stories reflect the relationships, connections and shared experiences that have shaped our journey over the past 20 years and continue to inspire our future. They will help shape understanding, drive progress and bring us closer to a world where primary bone cancer is cured.

As the UK's only charity dedicated to primary bone cancer, we're proud to fund life-changing research, provide trusted information and support, and bring people together to improve the lives of everyone affected by the disease. Everything we've achieved has been made possible by the trust of our community, and together we will continue to drive progress and move closer to a world where primary bone cancer is cured.

Tell your story

Trust means something different to everyone. It may be trust in a researcher working towards better treatments, a support network that helped you through a difficult time, a healthcare team, or a community that understands what you're going through.

This Bone Cancer Awareness Week, we're inviting people across the primary bone cancer community to share their stories and experiences of trust.

Share your story on social media using #BCAW2026 and tag Bone Cancer Research Trust, or send your story directly to us. Every story helps raise awareness of primary bone cancer and shows the many ways trust helps people feel informed, supported and connected.

Together, we can inspire others, build understanding and demonstrate the impact of a community built on trust.
